ABOUT US

Greener World Soccer Links, Academy and Agency (GWSLAA) is a charitable sport organisation
that was established in 2008 in Accra Ghana with branches in Freetown Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Kenya respectively.

Our main goals are to rescue talented but deprived street children from slums and impoverished communities and help transform their lives positively through sport and education.

OUR SUCCESSES

GWSLAA has in the past decade supported over 500 street children through education
such as primary, secondary and technical institutions in Africa.

Our main focus is sport.
Our sport academy has successfully train over three hundred street children from within all its
sporting disciplines, including Soccer, Basketball, Athletics and Long Tennis amongst others.  

We have successfully trained a total of 55  basketball players (and still counting) who are mostly representing their schools, colleges,
communities etc. However, basketball as a sport is not very well recognized in most of our local African settings.
We recently introduced Athletics in Kenya which has receives more attention and interests and majority of the street children we rescue end up showing more interest  in the sport.

Soccer or football is basically our top sport on our chart. Our academy has successfully train over 600 recruits in the past decade and still training. Our players have represented local and international soccer clubs globally.
Our programmes are also focused on life after sport, Players or Athlete’s wellbeing, promotion and management, mutual follow ups and psychological support. The work we do aims at spreading awareness of the underlying social, cultural, psychological and environmental trauma that has mostly affected or contributed to the mental health issues that are prevalent amongst homeless children not only at the beginning of their career but during and after they pass out.

Our long-term goal is to raise outstanding community and global leaders who would be more capable and responsible to impact good leadership in the sporting industry.
